Remote Device Management

The True Protection Management Console allows administrators to perform a wide range of remote actions on managed devices without needing physical access or separate remote desktop tools.

Available Remote Actions

  • Remote Scan: Initiate a quick scan, full scan, or custom scan on any managed device.
  • Remote Update: Force an immediate signature and engine update on a specific device or group of devices.
  • Remote Policy Push: Apply a new policy or update an existing policy immediately without waiting for the next sync.
  • Remote Quarantine: Isolate a device from the network while maintaining its connection to the Management Console for investigation.
  • Remote Restart Protection: Restart the True Protection service on a device if it becomes unresponsive.
  • Collect Diagnostics: Gather diagnostic logs and system information from a device for troubleshooting.

Performing a Remote Action

  • Step 1: In the Management Console, navigate to Devices.
  • Step 2: Locate the target device using the search or filter tools.
  • Step 3: Click the device name to open its detail page.
  • Step 4: Click Actions and select the desired remote operation.
  • Step 5: Confirm the action and monitor progress in the Task Queue.

All remote actions are logged in the audit trail with the administrator who initiated them, the timestamp, and the result.
