Quick Start Guide

This guide will help you go from installation to full protection in under five minutes. Follow these five steps to secure your device with True Protection by Jag.

Step 1: Install and Activate

Download the installer from tpjsecurity.com/downloads, run the setup wizard, and enter your license key when prompted. The entire installation process typically takes less than two minutes.

Step 2: Update Threat Definitions

After installation, True Protection will automatically download the latest threat definitions. You can verify the update status by checking the Protection Status indicator on the main dashboard. A green shield icon means your definitions are current.

Step 3: Run a Quick Scan

Click the Quick Scan button on the dashboard. This scan checks running processes, startup locations, and high-risk directories in approximately 2 to 5 minutes.

Step 4: Enable Real-Time Protection

Navigate to Settings > Protection and ensure the following modules are enabled:

Real-Time File Guard - scans files as they are accessed
Web Shield - blocks malicious websites and phishing attempts
Email Guard - scans incoming email attachments
Firewall - monitors inbound and outbound network traffic

Step 5: Schedule Automatic Scans

Go to Settings > Scheduled Scans and configure a weekly full system scan. We recommend scheduling scans during off-peak hours when you are less likely to be using the computer intensively.

Your system is now protected. True Protection by Jag will work quietly in the background, alerting you only when action is needed.
